Top garden maintenance services

Long-time Swanson resident Chris Lange started 1st Class Gardens in 2009, but moved to bigger premises last year to accommodate the company's growth. Starting off as a lawn care, one-man operation it's developed into a five-person team that offers everything from major garden tidy-ups to regular maintenance and "soft" landscaping (planting, mulching etc).

The company services everything from compact, private gardens to commercial properties, all with an "earth steward hip" focus.

The business's "eco" emphasis doesn't mean Chris can't run an economically viable company though. Most tools used are battery-powered, and workers are likely to arrive in an electric van. As Chris points out, the electric van is really cheap to run although jobs are carried out five days a week - savings which protect clients from a lot of price increases. Staff work in pairs, which halves the time spent at clients' properties and also encourages personal motivation.

"1st Class Gardens combines efficiency with responsibility," Chris says proudly. "We not only do what we say we'll do, when we say we'll do it - we believe we're leading the way by offering a unique service with ultra-low emissions and less noise. Just check out our ratings on www.nocowboys.co.nz"
